Hello:
A few years ago we spent a week in an apartment immediately
across the lake from Talloires. It was just gorgeous, I would
go back in a heart beat. Sitting in the living room watching the
small boats, fishermen, swans on the lake, the the hang gliders
launching off the mountains into the lake was just wonderful.
Annecy is charming but busy as one person said. We drove all
round the district including around to Talloires for lunch one
day. We eschewed Pere Bise on the grounds of 1) cost and 2) the
only lunchers were a Japanese couple who had arrived in a stretch
Mercedes complete with driver and three(!) doors on each side -
we thought we were outclassed there. We went instead to Les
Pres du Lac, a charming building where I had about the third
worst meal I have ever paid for - there is competition for second
place and first place for this honour is so far out in front it
will never be caught.
Nonetheless I would go back to this region but probably not to
LPduL.
regards from
Margaret still in Melbourne.
