When we travel through France, we love to take the train and generally
travel First class...mainly because we do find it quieter and there are
not lots of children around. OK, I suppose that makes me sound like an
old curmudgeon but I have got past the stage of tolerance of children
who cannot help but be excited and noisy. It is just a personal preference.
It is also generally not so crowded.
Being over the age of 60 we are both classed as Senior citizens and so
get the appropriate discounts. If you look on http://www.voyages-sncf.com
you can put in details of any journey and get a price.
Hope this adds to your information
