Hello,
About Becca's question, I think a $700 fare from Texas to Italy in
September looks pretty good, but if you had a much lower fare for the
same season last year, I'm not sure what to advise. It was four
years ago that I last took a paid trip to Italy. It was in July; I
checked extensively over the Internet and by phone with consolidators
and travel agents and there was nothing lower than about $1150 from
Kansas City to Rome. One day after I committed to that fare, a fare
of $750 turned up for those dates. Since this was on a different
airline, there was no way of changing my booking; as Sara says, you
might be able to be re-ticketed at the lower fare and get the
difference in a voucher for future travel on that airline if the
lower fare is on the exact same flights you booked.
