I can recommend a lovely place called O'dysius in Lincoln city. It is fantastic, each room with a wonderful view of the ocean,a balcony,a sitting area, a jetted bathtub, a fireplace and fabulous feather beds. The rooms on the lower floors, although the same are priced less because of a somewhat compromised view, but really still ocean views! Use your entertainment card here if you have one, I got as rate of 89 last fall. Breakfast is great, this place is pretty special.
The lighthouses are terribly romantic, try to visit at least one and make sure you climb up to the top, they are all open to visitors.
I can point you towards covered bridges if you are interested, let me know. They are often in quaint neighborhoods, lovely scenery.
Yachats is a great town to visit. Lots of atmosphere, good restaurants and very close to cape perpetua, an astounding park with rugged views, lots of seashore to explore and much more. Cape perpetua is incredible during sunsets.
Also Darlingtonia is another very cool place, not only the home of a rare insect eating plant but also home to an abundant crop of skunk cabbage which is in full smell in the spring.
If you get down to South slough, do visit! It is a lush Estuary filled with stream canyons and incredible plant life and animal life. They have a great hike through this green rainforest, including a tunnel made of trees.
Those are some of my favorite places along the central Oregon coast! Have a great journey,
