I can't agree with Cat's statement that the Michelin red guide is in French. This guide (to hotels and restaurants) is mostly in symbols, which are explained in four languages, including English, in the front of the book. The closing dates and some special features are briefly described in the local language (in French for the France guide, in Italian for the Italy guide, etc.) but with a phrase book one should be able to understand the listings pretty fully. The green guides, for sightseeing with descriptions, are published in different languages.
