Subject: Michelin Guides
It is NOT true that Michelin's green guides are in English and red guides are in French. In fact, the colour has nothing to do with the language used.

The green guide is a guide concentrated on tourist information : a quotation of major sight in a city, descriptions of tours to discover a region etc. If you only need background information without guidelines for eating, drinking and lodging it is in fact a very handy guide.

The red guide is purely oriented to lodging and dining. It gives for each city covered in the guide an overview of restaurants - with an indicative score using a star system - and the same thing is done for hotels in the city.

The guides are published in several languages. French is the original language as the publisher is located in France, but most guides also appear in an english version.
