Subject: Re: Paris cafe customs
I have heard both sides of this, Graciela. However, the times that I have bought a pastry at a bakery and taken it to a stand-up bar to eat with my cafe au lait,I have never gotten the evil eye from the barrista. Sometimes (although this has been in the countryside, not Paris) the barrista or waiter have even directed me to a nearby bakery. And who WOULDN'T want to have one of Mulot's delicious croissants with their morning coffee? I think it shows your good taste :) Anne in VA
