Subject: Italian language schools
Krystyna and Lou,

Four years ago I went to Florence for Italian lessons. I chose to go to a program that specialized in one-to-one instruction because I don't do well in groups. I was not a beginner, but I was not comfortable with conversation - I was always afraid of making mistakes. Well, let me assure you that 6 hours a day of speaking and listening to Italian for 2 weeks (my teacher didn't speak English) got me over all my fears and taught me more than I had learned in the previous years. It was quite expensive, but I feel like I learned so much more with the one-to-one lessons than I ever would have in a group that it was worth it. I still go for lessons every other year, but now I go with a friend and have a more informal group kind of thing.

It's a great way to learn the language and have opportunities to practice as well.
