|Subject: When to travel to Italy?|
Look at http://www.travel-guide.com/data/ita/ita500.asp to get an
impression of the Italian climate. The average day temperature in
September is between 24 and 29 degrees Celsius, which is quite
comfortable. In any case you should consider that temperature depends
on the height above sea level and upon northern and southern areas.
So if you want to visit the Alps in the north like the Dolomites you
should certainly go there in september and not in november (very
cold, little snow). If you want to do swimming in the mediterranean
then september will be better, too.
On the other hand: if you want to visit a lot of museums with fewer tourists hanging around, then November will be the better choice.
And don't forget that days are much shorter in November and it's becoming cold in the evening. Life in Italy, however, takes place in the evening starting at 8:00 p.m. and later. You certainly should not miss the warm Italian evenings! Other Ziners will agree with me, won't they?
