Subject: Hotel in Siena
Hello Mei-Ching How long are you planning to stay in Siena? My opinion is that Siena is fine for maybe 3 days but you'll need a car to explore the countryside if you're going to be there for more time. Keep in mind that it is a small town; Florence is a city with more sites and amenities. Kirsten and I've stayed at the Palazzo Ravizza during our visit to Siena a few years ago. I don't know what they currently charge but I believe they have a website so you should be able to find their rates pretty easily. We had a somewhat stark but very beautiful room overlooking the garden and neighboring hills. The breakfast was very nice and the owners speak Italian, English, and German I believe.
