Subject: Cambridge GTG
To all of you heading out Boston-way for the GTG, if you're looking for interesting stuff, Boston Magazine has a Best of Boston list on their website ( A few weeks ago a friend and I used the list to plan an eating tour of the area.

A couple of personal additions: -Best Fried Clams - Woodman's in Essex (although my sister likes the Clam Box in Topsfield and my cousin likes this obscure place in Lunenberg, which also has the best onion rings.) - Best Lobster Roll - Kelly's at either Revere Beach or Route 1 on Saugus. - Best Dougnuts - Kane's in Saugus - Best Bread - Clear Flour Bakery in Brookline (in Michelin's words, this place is Worth a Journey)

Also, if you're looking for a neat place for a group meal (and everybody needs to be a major carnivore!), there's a place in Cambridge called the Midwest Grill (just down the street from Chris Schlesinger's well-known East Coast Grill). It's a Brazilian barbecue place with an all-you-can-eat menu, entertainment, and a fun setting. Also, it's close to Rosie's Bakery, which is reason enough to be there.
