Hi Debbie &the Wests-
Nostalgia 2 !
When I was a child (c 1956 !) this area was my parents favourite and we went there several times.
In 1986, I went for a weekend and enjoyed it so much I went again for a week in 1988.
The area from Lynmouth to Barnstaple is beautiful. We stayed in Woolacombe, deliberately in a traditional small hotel.
Best experience ... long walks along the cliffs, the odd swim, and fresh crab sandwiches in a pub for lunch, washed down with cider.
Clean beaches and surprisingly warm in June.
I will go again one day, and link up with the other English family favourite ... Cornwall.
