Subject: Re: Hawaii Airfare and More
Hi Raul, Sorry to be so long in responding to your request for suggestions about Hawaii accommodations. I am off to Italy in a few days, so have been neglecting my computer. In January of 2001, three friends and I stayed at an exceptional Bed and Breakfast just five minutes by car from Kailua-Kona. You can visit it at this website: Three self-contained suites, each with kitchenette, are available for bargain prices! Each opens out to a patio facing a pool, hot tub, pool house with gas barbeque, surrounded by 2 acres of lush tropical gardens. The host and hostess are exceptional; Mike is a licensed sea captain and history buff who took us on a cruise of the Kona coast, accompanied by an historical narrative that brought the past alive. Carol is a gourmet cook whose generous, homemade breakfasts included her own baking, fruit from their gardens, yogurts and cheeses. We had some of her optional dinners and picnic lunches which were fabulous! We were reluctant to leave this little eden to tour the island, and delighted upon every return. We are going back as soon as life permits! All the best with your plans! Terry in West Vancouver, B.C.
