Subject: Re: Montreal & Quebec City |
Hi Rebbi,
Just east of Quebec City are the Montmorency Falls. They are well worth seeing, although I suggest going reasonably early to avoid the crowds. The official site is: http://www.chutemontmorency.qc.ca/ And a good photo is posted here: http://rtsq.grics.qc.ca/quebec/dc012.htm If you drive from M. to Q. then I suggest going one way on the motorway/freeway/highway/autobahn (whatever you choose to call it!), and the other a more scenic route slightly to the north, coming back into Montreal through the Laurentians. Be warned: it can get chilly at night at that time of year. I experienced 30+ temperatures (Celsius) in Montreal one day, and just two days later was in the small town of Mont Royal with a sign showing 1 degree C at about 9pm.
