Familiarity often leads to ho-hum, I guess. You don't always appreciate
what you have in your own back yard. I was reminded of that recently by
those Ziners who described their delight in their own home environments.
Right now I can hike a mile from my home in downtown St. John's and see
mountains of icebergs just off the coast floating south. And we've also had
whales come so close to our small sailboat that we could touch them.
Nevertheless, other lands entice, and I am so looking forward to the end of
this month when I will see Greece for the first time.
