Subject: Atlantic Canada -- Cabot Trail
Last year we explored Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, for the second time and really enjoyed the experience...again. Judy, if you like Bed and Breakfast accommodations, we have a couple places we can highly recommend. This is what we did: we spent one night at a lovely b and b (2 suites---at regular room prices and wonderful hospitality) not far west of North Sydney and then drove up the Trail to the north, including the byways such as to Meat Cove, and stayed near the top for a night at another fascinating B and B. Then we explored the other side of the Trail and came back down to our first B and B before continuing on our other Nova Scotia explorations. If you want to do a lot of hiking, you would probably want to spend even more time on the Trail, but, for us, this time, 2 days was fine. I will give you more details about accommodations if you like to stay in B and B's (I know they are not everybody's cup of tea)....for us, stays in places like this enhance our whole experience. Just let me know. Enjoy your trip, Judy. Cheers, Pat in Baltimore
