Subject: Re: Have you driven in the UK?
Coming from Oz, it wasn't driving on the left side of the road that threatened our marriage (or our lives), it was the roundabouts and road signs. I would circle a roundabout three times, pleading with Cheryl for a decision as to which road we were to take. Her problem was that the road signs were listing towns that were fifty miles away, and she was looking at a map with the town we were seeking only 5 miles away.

For all that, the best advise we ever had was to only drive on roads with three or four digits. These are the narrow country roads that pass through small villages. There is much less traffic, and you get to see the countryside and villages that others miss.
