Subject: Driving in the UK |
Hey, guys, it's a piece of cake! I have, in the last 25 years or so,
driven over 100,000 miles in Britain without incident. Just pay
attention to what you are doing, don't trust your conditioned reflexes
(they're always wrong), and relax. Even the roundabouts are no problem,
once you know the system: yield to anyone already in the roundabout
(coming from your RIGHT), stay on the inside until you are approaching
your exit, and signal for the exit, just as if you were making a normal
turn.
On the whole, British drivers are excellent and will help you all they can, but they are not tolerant of stupidity. Cheers, Bill in Baltimore |
