Subject: Italian English |
Greetings Ziners!
I have just been surfing on the internet and came across an absolutely hilarious translation of Italian into English at: http://web.tin.it/san_gimignano/casvai.htm Click on Casale Gregoriano. This has got to be a babelfish translation right? Which should give us all pause before we translate anything through babelfish. I almost choked laughing. Meaning no disrespect to anyone Italian of course, I am sure there are equally hilarious translations of English into Italian. Such enthusiasm, such an effluence of verbiage, but what is this person trying to say? There are more choices from the main website at: http//web.tin.it/san_gimignano but the 'Where to Sleep' are the best, in my opinion. In the meantime I am off to Italy next week. May 19 to 30 in Venice and May 30 to June 9 in Florence. Many thanks to everyone here who gave a lot of great advice. If anyone will be in the neighbourhood, please give me a shout. I will be checking email regularly. Cheers, Krystyna |
