|Subject: Malcom Miller, Chartres and Versailles|
when we were in Paris last September, we did a day trip to Chartres.
I had read about Malcolm Miller tours, and I asked when I arrived
there. The tour was in english, and that wasnīt a good idea because
my mother cannot speak english. We bought a guide at the cathedral
bookshop, it wasnīt so good as his tours are supposed to be, but at
least she can re-read it every now and then.
And to the Ziner who was thinking about doing Chartres and Versailles in the same day. I guess that if you rent a car, it might be done. But it wonīt certainly do any justice to both places. We did it in different days, and we didnīt feel so rushed to go from one place to the other. In both cases we took the train : the RER to Versailles, and a normal train from Montparnasse to Chartres.
