Subject: Re: Italian Phone Cards
Hi Debbie,

As Callie said, the telecom phonecard is the easiest way to make a call (it has a magnetic strip and you have just to put the card in a public telephone) but, on the other hand, it is the more expensive way :((

In my experience you should buy an international pre-paid phone card with toll free acces number. You can get one in Tabacco shops or in newsagencies. I 'm using a Europe 3 hours - PC2CALL phone card powered by Vectone. It allow you to call in any country in Europe, the USA and Canada at 2.85 Euro cent per minute if you deal a local number or 5.7 Euro cent per minute if you deal a toll free number. It is really convenient: it is 5.16 Euro each and these rate are for Italy call too (that, during the day, is cheaper than the telecom rate for calling in Italy from city to city (NOT for local calls!)). The only problem is that it is not so easy find this phone card :( Anyway the best advice that I can give you is to ask to the shop keeper the best phone card for the USA since any phone card is convenient for a world area and not for an other!

Ciao, Marco in Milan - Italy.
