Normally, Toronto (YYZ) is not an awful airport but Canadian Custom
Regulations are awful for Americans who try to go to Europe through
Canada. Unfortunately, you need to check-out your luggage, pass
through the customs and immigration (as if you were coming to Canada)
and then check your luggage back. To complete this, you may need up
to 2 hours. As far as I know, Canada is in the process of changing
this method, but not there yet.
