Subject: Re: Rome Hotels |
Hey Andrew,
I have used venere.it many times. The only thing I would suggest is that you check more than one source for a hotel listing before booking through them. We once booked a hotel in Milan without checking anywhere else to find out about the hotel, and we ended up not staying there. Of course, not being as familiar with Milan, I wasn't aware of the actual location of that particular hotel. So, if you are familiar with the hotel (from looking in Fodors, Frommers, Lonely Planet, Let's Go, Rick Steves, Cheap Sleeps, etc.), then you should feel comfortable booking through that site. I would also choose a place to stay that has some entertainment value for your last night in Italy. You can always take a cab from the hotel to the train station, so I wouldn't base my decision only on proximity to the station. Better to enjoy a nice meal and the ambience of a summer evening in Roma! Ciao, Kristy S.F. |
