Dear Flavio, I have to comment on above. I have always found police helpful. Although they might not know, like the general population, how to get places by bus, they drive too, they never charge for any information they give you. Unfortunately the LA police are overworked and understaffed. Thank you for your public transportation information. It will be helpful to me to give out to people in my volunteer job as a traveler's aid at the airport. I have used the new subway and it is wonderful--and very clean! Elena
