|Subject: Pretty harbour|
My favorite harbour is that of St. Georges, Grenada. After sailing down the island chain,
we entered the Carenage of St. Georges and felt for the first time in a year to be in the
West Indies. No mega cruise ship in sight, just rusty old cargo boats unloading their wares
smuggled from Carriacou. The pretty colorful houses climbing up the surrounding hills and
the aroma of spices descending from the daily market.
Later on we had callaloo soup in the Nutmeg restaurant with a splendid view of the Carenage
through the open windows.I hope little has changed since then (9 years ago).
