|Subject: Re: Travelling Alone Senior &Family Reunion|
Don's mom is 91 years old (today!) and until two years ago she was still flying up to Toronto to visit us and down to Caracas, where Don's sister lives (part time, now).
One thing that she resisted (because of her excellent physical condition and her independent nature), but later agreed was a good thing, was that we started ordering a wheelchair for her. Walking the distances at the airport wasn't as much of a problem as the confusion of being alone in a bustling, unfamiliar environment. Leaving the navigation to someone else, was a huge help to her and that's what made it possible for her to continue traveling as long as she did.
Hope that helps.
