Subject: Cemeteries---poignant stones
Janice mentions finding a stone that sets her to thinking about the fortitude of the early settlers. The most poignant stone we have ever found is in the Burgess Cemetery (down a small forested lane not too far from Grafton, Vermont); it's the Rebecca Parks stone---with the tiny faces of her 13 children who died in infancy carved on it. It's a stone one never forgets. Pat in Baltimore
