|Subject: Teenaged traveler|
My 19-year-old is leaving for England in two weeks and will be attending
school there for the summer quarter. After that ends (late August) he
plans to travel around Europe for a couple of months by himself.
Apart from the Let's Go series, does anyone know of good (especially online) resources for itinerant travelers (ie travelers who have no particular destination but want to travel light, not spend much money, and wander from here to there until they get tired and decide to come home)? We have the transportation issues settled--now he's trying to figure out what to bring and where to go.
Also, any places that he should avoid? (He wants to go to Turkey, and that is making me nervous...in fact, this whole trip is making me anxious but I guess I will have to deal with that...) Thanks JoAnne in Silicon Valley
