the special overseas rail pass is certainly good value if you are brave enough to rely totally on our rail network!

I've checked the http://www.trainline.com which I often use for obtaining my tickets and strangely they don't mention the cheapest tickets for Bath - London which is via Wessex trains http://www.wessextrains.co.uk

They quote £17 for a single whereas the other site quotes a higher price. In the UK you can phone 08457 48 49 50 for train times and prices. Wessex phone number is 08450 787 337

The other line that does this run is Great Western Trains http://www.great-western-trains.co.uk which quotes an Apex of £17.50 return - with the number of trains running you should be able to get one of these fares.

I will check on how far in advance you can get these tickets if it helps.
