Subject: How long can we linger after eating in a posh restaurant?
Hi, THe Wall Street Journal (06-21-02) has an article on this subject, a subject we discussed some time ago in The Travelzine,

The article is called HURRY UP AND EAT

For those interested the WSJ checked several posh restaurants across the country finding out that paying more for a meal didn't ensure we had more time to linger ... Who would have guessed that at storied Le Cirque in New York, the waiter would try to reclaim our chocolate dessert before we'd gotten halfway through it? ........

At many eateries, says the co- owner of Tratoria No. 10 in Chicago: the strategy is: Greet' em,seat 'em, feed'em - and delete them.
