Subject: Labrador Coastal Ferry--more info.
Hi -- Since this is the last year the coastal ferry will run (roads are being built in Labrador up to Pinsent's Arm by next year) the route from St. Anthony, Newfoundland to Nain, Labrador, one must go this year! (if they are not already fully booked.) Ship runs from mid-July till October, about ten 12-day runs I believe. Cabins are roomy and nice, with TV/VCR, refrigerators, and private facilities. Meals are in the cafeteria with other short-run passengers. A tour guide/host is aboard for round-trip passengers and excursions (mostly walking) are planned in the villages. Just watching the loading and unloading of cargo is quite interesting. We loved the whole trip and are sorry that it will not run after this year. For complete info: 709-454-8888

This trip will not appeal to the person who likes luxury cruise ship travel, but will truly be enjoyed by adventurous spirits. By the way, the ship is not truly a steamer. Cheers, Pat in Baltimore
