|Subject: re: What size rental car|
I'd concur with another post that a French mini van would be a good
choice...(someone suggested a Renault)for four people travelling
Last summer my spouse and I rented a Ford Focus through Hertz but
were upgraded to a Citroen Picasso. That's a smaller by far version
of a North American mini van. It's comfortable and responsive, and
never too big to park in tight spots.
The only minor caveat I can comment on is that the gearing is rather
*long*, which necessitated more paddling through the gears while
driving through the high passes in the Alps.
If you enjoy driving in a fast or spirited fashion I'd consider
a VW Passat or an Audi...and I believe that Michael Schumacher has
been instrumental in designing the new Ferrari;)
