Subject: Disappointing Destinations
I've yet to find a destination I've been disappointed in. What a place may lack in character, scenery, or other attributes is always made up by the friendliness of its citizens. Invariably, I've been welcomed wherever I go. I like to become a citizen wherever I am which means going out among the people, eating where they eat and staying where they stay when they travel. I've always agreed with the old adage if you like home cooking, stay at home and that also applies to travel - if where you visit isn't like where you left and you're not happy with your new destination, you'd be better off sitting in your living room at home.
