Subject: traveler's aid
Debbie,

I quite agree with Russell. In this world there are the planners and the surprised. I'm all for the spontaneous experience; but some planning is essential in order to enjoy your visit.

It's become the joke at my office that folks wait till George and I come back from a trip before they will travel there. Just so they can get my box of research. I usually have so much stuff, even for places later rejected or left for a future trip that my friends need to do little else to plan their vacations.

Travelling with friends also leaves me with all of the planning and they do appreciate the hard work, mostly. This group has been a fabulous source of information and warm friendliness. Thanks to Linda, Don and all the moderators for their hard work!

We're off to our nations capital ( for the 'nth time) so no advise needed this trip. Will anyone be around from 8/14 to 8/18 for a cup of coffee or a glass of vino ??
