Don't worry about the weather. You will be fine. I usually bring clothes that I can layer. November can be chilly so don't forget a warm coat or jacket, scarf, hat, and yes, gloves (although you probably won't need them). If you haven't brought these and you end up needing them, you can always buy them. There are many stores that sell European goods that you won't see in the States. Not to worry. You'll have an amazing time.
Another hotel that you can consider in Montreal is the Hotel Vogue on Rue De La Montagne. It is an ideally located boutique hotel (although it is part of the Loews chain). Excellent.
In Montreal, you may want to have a dinner (or lunch) on Crescent Street. There are great restaurants there and it's an interesting area to stroll after a satisfying meal.
There's so much to see and do in Montreal - Art Museum, St. Joseph's Oratory, Mount Royal (although it may be a little chilly for a hike), Old Montreal, etc. You will have a truly memorable time! Enjoy.
All the best, Minna
