|Subject: Chillida Leku Museum|
Eduardo Chillida, one of the best spanish sculptors of the past
century, has died this afternoon after a long illness.
2 years ago, an exhibition centre covering most of his works opened
near San Sebastian, Chillida Leku. Here you can find its website :
It is an interesting place, built on an old basque farmhouse. The bigger steel and stone works are scattered in the green fields, and visitors are usually allowed to walk around and touch them (and you will want to touch them, I assure you).
Some of his works are located in San Sebastian, by the sea, the Peine del Viento (Wind Comb) or in front of the Federal Chancellor Office in Berlin (also called Berlin). http://makeashorterlink.com/?K28132F81 http://makeashorterlink.com/?Z29112F81
Right now there is an exhibition at the Deutsche Guggenheim in Berlin, Chillida-Tapiés. http://makeashorterlink.com/?A23132F81
If you plan to be around any of these places, have a look to these works and think of the man who created them.
