Dear Paolo, I, too, try to check my money. Two years ago in Vienna, the women gave me money back. I just kept my hand out flat as I counted the money. I realized I was shortchanged. I told her she owed me another 20 shillings. She made a face, reached into the drawer and handed it to me. When trying to get acquainted with new money, I do appear rather stupid as I check to see if I received the right amount. But, I would rather do that than to be cheated. Regards, Carollyn
