Subject: Giverny, Potsdam
Dear Ziners,

I recently asked a question about Vaux-le-Vicomte and received a reply immediately by Graciela, whom I thank very much. It was my first posting. So, I decided to ask another one, as I will be going to visit Hamburg, Paris and Berlin, all cities I have been before but many years ago. My partner, however, has never been to Europe. My partner would like to go to Giverny. I know we can catch a train from Gare St.-Lazare in Paris to Vernon and apparently there is a bus going to Giverny. We will be there in the beginning of October. Has anyone made this day trip? After Paris we will go to Berlin. I heard Potsdam is beautiful and of course, many historical sites are there. I also know that from Berlin, if one has a 7-day-ticket (7-Tagekarte) for zones A,B,C one can go as far as Potsdam. However, once at the station there, how does you get to Sans Souci or other sites in the area. I was planning this to be a day trip, going in the morning and getting back to Berlin in the evening. Has anyone done this also? Any suggestions regarding these two day trips? Many thanks for any information provided, from
