|Subject: Last Minute Travel Worries|
We depart for England tomorrow and I can't say that I'm thrilled with a couple of the companies that we are using on this trip. I have called, as I always do, to confirm our reservations and have met with a bit of aggravation.
USAirways would not honor our seat assignments, and didn't even want to seat us together! It took a zillion phone calls, several to their corporate headquarters, to even get a polite customer service to speak to. We were very nice and they were hostile and rude.
Abouthotel.com did not send our confirmation to The Abbey Hotel in Bath. That took three phone calls to England and one to their headquarters in Thailand. Very irritating. Both things worked out, but who needs such aggravation at the last minute?
Do other Ziners call and confirm before departure? What are your experiences in this way?
