I'd like to find out about good internet sites for good bargains etc.
We must be soul mates. I love to travel and am always looking for bargains. Several sites I have used with good results are:
http://www.travelzoo.com/ - This Week's Top Travel Deals on the Internet. Listing updated every Wednesday and can include packages, hotel rooms, car rentals, cruises, or air fares. Found out about a $299 seven day Hawaiian cruise on the Norwegian Star this way.
http://www.go-today.com/ - affordable international travel packages. Have used them twice for trips to the London. Accommodations run from basic to superior based on the category chosen. Our January trip was $399 for air, 6 nights accommodations, continental breakfast, and airport transfer. Since we chose the lowest priced hotel, the Bayswater Inn, rooms were small, basic, spotless, and close to several tube stop. Fine for the price. For our upcoming trip we upgraded several categories and will have all the amenities, including a health club and spa.
http://www.skyauction.com/ - Great deals on vacant timeshare prosperities. Have won several auctions for less than $225, for a one week stays in Williamsburg Virginia, and Warren Vermont. Have never bid on their airfare or package deals.
http://www.europebyair.com/ special fares within Europe, and a $99 FlightPass that covers 150 cities in 30 European countries. Also good direct route pricing form/to easily accessible airports . London (LHR) to Amsterdam (AMS) for $52 one way.
http://www.ryanair.com/ low-cost airline based in the UK. Airports can be difficult, time-consuming, and sometimes expensive to get to. Right now their fare from London Stansted (STN) to Glasgow Prestwick(PIK) is 6.25 pounds one way.
http://www.entertainment.com US based Entertainment Coupon Book with discounts for hotels, restaurants, attractions, car rentals, air fares, cruises, and more. The Hawaii guide is an exceptional value, and saved us lots of money on food, tours and car rentals.
Edna - soon on her way to London
