I used and won a cruise vacation for our birthdays in January 2003.

We went on this Carnival Celebration cruise out of Galveston, Texas in January of 2001 and liked it for several reasons:

1. We can drive from Oklahoma and don't have to pay for airfare. 2. The ship is smaller, not as crowded. 3. A very good cabin steward who seemed more attentive. 4. Smaller tables at dinner. 5. Very informal. 6. Shore excursions are interesting and not too expensive. 7. Usually good weather in the middle of an Oklahoma winter. 8. Though the ship is one of Carnival's oldest, it is well least it was on our last cruise.

Prices seems a bit cheaper than what you can buy anywhere else and is cheaper than what we paid in 2001 ($870 total):
