I do not have ferry schedule from Como to mid-lake, but I do have ferry schedule for boats that run among the three mid-lake towns (Varenna,Bellagio,Menaggio). My copy of the mid-lake boat schedule does not indicate from what month to what month, so perhaps the mid- lake boats run all year around?

There are trains from Milan to mid-lake Varenna, although they do not run as frequently as trains to Como. On leaving mid-lake to Milan airport, if there are no good transportation-connection optios, the taxi fare from Bellagio to Malpensa was about US$140 in 2000. This last option will always get you to airport in time. :-)
