|Subject: Madrid and Paris-need help!|
For getting from Seville to Toledo I would actuall recommend going to Madrid
by the AVE.
It is spains high speed train which travels at 250 km per hour and only
takes about 2.5 hrs
to get from Seville from Madrid. A couple of years ago I took a train from
Madrid to Toledo
and I think go almost hourly. I found Toledo very easy to get around without
a tour guide
and quite enjoyed myself.
Giverney and Chatre's can both be reached from by train from Paris which takes about an hour. When you Giverny you will need to take a bus but they are quite regular(Just don't go on a Monday as I believe that is the day it is closed). When you get to Chatre's I do recommend you take a guided tour of the Catheral with Malcolm Miller. He has studied the Stainglass and sculptures for decades and gives an excellent tour. His tours generally begin at 10 and 2(If you are spending the whole day then you could go to both as his tours on the sameday are always different)
A good and fairly inexpensive hotel right at Chalres de Gaul airport is the IBbis Hotel. When I stayed there a couple of years ago it was about 440 francs with bath and breakfast. Again not 5 star but a good basic hotel and they do have a website on the internet so if you search by ibis I am sure you will find it.
Hope the helps and let me know if I can be anymore help!
