Hi Elma
Thank you so much for posting your Aus trip impressions. I love seeing my country through someone else's eyes - always enlightening. You have now seen more of my country than I have! - we'll have to compare notes of where we've been in the UK (unfortunately all I have seen of Glasgow is the train station). You have seen so many of the highlights and I'm glad you had a wonderful time. Picking up on you mentioning of our flora and fauna, if you ever return again: - Right now in W.A. they are experiencing their wildflower season. As far as the eye can see, beautiful colours and more examples of our striking flora. - Our birds *are* striking and loud! Should you ever be near the Gold Coast Hinterland here in Queensland (specifically Tamborine area) a trip up the mountain to O'Reilly's guest house is a must - you can hand feed the beautiful king parrots, rosellas, ... Anyway thanks for sharing and nothing boring about your tale at all - it was a wonderful virtual tour for me. Your descriptions of red deserts, sweeping plains and snow capped mountains certainly does our wide brown land justice. :) Megan Brisbane, Australia |
