A travel show on London reminded me of the most amazing pageant that we saw in Britain when we lived there for a while many years ago. It was the Lord Mayor's Show, This is a procession of the Lord Mayor on his way to the Queens Bench to pledge allegiance to the Crown. This year it will be held on Saturday November 9th in the city. It is a colourful and historic parade of worshipful companies and guilds and local organizations. If you are in London during that time, be sure to see it. Free along the parade route; some grandstand seats are available too.
