|Subject: Traveling by train from Brussels to Berlin|
We spent three weeks in Belgium this past April with a base in Brugge. This proved to be a perfect plan for us. The wonderful train system in Belgium was a treat and we took many day trips via their train system. We are planning a return visit next spring and would like to spend two weeks in Belgium and then train over to Berlin for one week. In particular, I am very interested in the new Jewish Museum in Berlin.
All we seem to find from our own search is an overnight train from Brussels to Berlin. It would mean leaving the Brussels train station around 11 p.m. which we would not like to do. We are two senior females and found the train station area in Brussels a little seedy. Do you have any alternate ideas for us to get to Berlin other than that particular train and time? We would be open to taking the train to another city, spending the night and then catching a different train from there. We are even wondering if flying might be the better idea. However, we love to ride trains and thoroughly enjoy the scenery and people-watching. BTW, we will be flying into Brussels and returning directly home from Berlin.
We thank you in advance for your thoughtful consideration to our questions.
