Hi Graciela,

Ooohhh! Love that area, too. The town we really enjoyed was Collioure in French Cataluña. On the recommendation of fellow Ziner Susie in Newton, Mass. we stopped in Collioure on our way to Carcassone. Boy, were we glad we did. We had picked up our rental car in Barcelona and headed straight for Roses where we had lunch. Next stop was Cadaques; a nice little town worth a visit. Then we continued along the coastal road hugging the Cap de Creus and the Cap Cerbère. After crossing the French border we passed through Banyuls (famous for their port-style fortified wine) and continued on to Collioure. The hillsides were a riot of Spanish lavender in bloom. We picked a large bunch to fill the car with its wonderful bouquet. That bouquet rode through Catalunya, Roussillon, the Pyrenees, Andorra, Aragón, Navarra, and on to Bilbao.
