Subject: Re: Anyone with info on doing Northern Italy without renting a car?
The trains in Italy are efficient and seem to cover much of the country. We went to Venice and Florence two years agao and took the train between the two. We took a city bus from Florence to Fiesoli. However, we like to stay in one place for a while and get to know it and see many of the things it has to offer. Whether you can do what you want without a car would depend on your itinerary, and checking Italian train and bus schedules. There are many website to help you with schedules.
