Subject: Re: Money in Italy
Margaret, if you do not have an ATM card you need to get one. Cash machines are the best way to get money most anywhere in the world today. Several years ago we had trouble cashing a travellers check in a bank in San Francisco and that was the end of them for us. They wanted to charge us $25 to cash one. You just go to the ATM put in your card and pin and Voila, you have money from your account in the currency of that country, which of course these days would be Euros. We were in Italy in 2000 and had no trouble getting money from the ATMs. It is amazing. Michele Missner, Appleton, Wi. USA
