|Subject: Re: Good Hotel Service|
We stayed at the Drake Hotel last weekend in Chicago. For the most part the service was impeccable. When we arrived our bags were promptly taken to our room and we got a phone call about five minutes later to verify that they had been delivered. Service at the front desk, room service, and concierge was wonderful.
One thing I've noticed though is housekeeping seems to be problem at many hotels... even the four and five star variety.
When we arrived after unpacking my husband and I shared a bottle of Chardonnay from the mini-bar.
Two days later we were going to have another glass of wine. The glasses we used the first night were still dirty and other glasses that we used while removed from the room were not replaced. We were down to one glass in the bathroom.
My husband is a Quality Control Director and he found this small error in a hotel of this caliber... well... not too good. His comment.... training, training, training is so important.
